The name MiTo, combines Milan (the car was designed here) with Torino (Turin, the car is built here) but MiTo also stands for “Myth” in Italian. The engines available are a 1.4 (which with the help of a Turbo delivers a smashing 155 Hp in the TB version) and 2 diesel engines; a 1.3JTDM and a 1.6JTDM.The Drive : The Alfa Mito uses McPherson front and torsion-beam rear suspension. The MiTo is packed with all kinds of electronic gadgets: just ahead of the gearlever is a three-way switch, and this is used to activate “DNA”. This stands for dynamic, normal and all-weather. It alters the power steering correction assist, the reactions of the gas pedal combined with the motor management and the reactions of the electronic safety devices on board such as ASR and the ESP.
